Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At just 7 years of age, Rambo found himself at a local shelter. A stranger took him there after his "Dad" passed away suddenly. He was terrified as he wondered "why am I here?" "What happened to my Dad?" "Does he know I'm here?" One can only imagine how he felt.
Because of his intense fear, he did not pass his evaluation at the shelter and he was deemed "not adoptable". This often happens to older dogs that have been ripped from their homes like this. Can you imagine being placed in a cold jail cell? Granted you too would not be your same sweet self.
A good citizen saved him from being euthanized and put out a plea for a foster home. We took him in. Now we need to find him a permanent home where he can be happy again like he was with his previous "Dad".
We believe Rambo to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is a big dog at approx. 90 lbs.
Despite his size, he is a sweetheart that just wants to be with a human. Rambo would make a great companion dog for someone who just wants to love BIG!
Rambo gets along with all the dogs in his foster home; but, he is actually afraid of "bossy" little dogs! Rambo is neutered, housetrained, crate trained, fully vaccinated and tested for heartworm, tick & lyme disease.
Our adoption process includes an application, interview, home visit, and meet/greet with family and other pets. Contact britrescueaz@cox.net for additional information. We are asking an adoption donation of $150 which helps us purchase food and medical care for other dogs in our rescue.
