Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Geoffrey is a 2-3 yr old Shepherd mix. He came from a Texas shelter and was a mess. He was very thin, his hair coat in bad condition and a bite wound on his ear. But his spirit was untouched, as he was happy to see people. He went from car to car with volunteer transporters as he was transported from Texas to Arizona.
Today he is a visually a different dog. His hair coat is beautiful. He has put on some pounds and the nasty bite wound has healed.
Geoffrey is a great dog. He is confident and independent. He gets along with most dogs and likes to play. However, he won't put up with another dog being mean to him. I think that has to do with his past experience.
He is housetrained using a doggy door and crate trained. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm, tick fever and lyme disease. Other basic blood work was also performed on Geoffrey because of his initial appearance.
Our adoption process includes an application, home visit and meet/greet with family and other pets.
We are asking a $250 adoption fee to help us cover approximately one-half of his expenses. Unfortunately, the Texas vet where Geoffrey was initially seen was not "rescue friendly" when it came to discounting his fees. But we believe Geoffrey was worth every penny. We hope you will too!
