Jaxx's Story...
Are you looking for a class act that is affectionate, energetic and handsome? All signs point to me! I'm Jaxx, and I'll point right back at you because that's what I do. I'm a Pointer! I'm 5 years old which puts me at a perfect age to join your family. I LOVE kids and will be a perfect addition to a home with youngsters. My love list also includes: chasing balls, running, playing with other dogs, string cheese and cuddling. There are very few things that get me down. In fact, the only thing I have to work on is that I don't much like being left alone. Ideally, I need a patient family that isn't gone all day and has another pooch I can pal around with. What do you think? Want to bring in the new year with me by your side? Fill out the adoption application so we can schedule a meet and greet. I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaxx, a Portland Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
