Bowie's Story...
Bowie is our handsom yellow Lab boy is about 7-8 months old. He is one great puppy, and has been very well socialized to men, women and older children. He also had exposure to the family kitties. Though he show interest in the cats, Bowie was scared off pretty easily when the mean cat showed his big claws and hissed them away. He practically ran for his life, but we are pretty sure the cat got a good laugh out of it. Bowie is very good temperaments and is very sweet. We would classify Bowie as medium energy level and appears to be a very stable minded dog. He walks well on lead and will do great in obedience classes. Bowie is great with other dogs and will make great additions to any family.

Bowie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you are interested in Bowie, please fill out an application and request him on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Salem Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
