Teddy's Story...
Meet Teddy the teddy bear of a boy. He is very hugable and kissable and loveable. And yes, he is a bit pudgy too but he is on a diet. Teddy was purchased from a breeder and then spent his whole life outside. Ouch! We think we can do much better than that for him from now on. Who wants to show this boy how real dogs live? Indoors!

Teddy is about 9 years old and great with other dogs and people. He is dying to know what it is like to live in a house. He is practicing his housetraining as hard as he can. Teddy is available for adoption or foster and is currently in Romoland, CA. If you would like to meet this sweet boy please fill out an application on our website http://www.secondhhancecockerrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Santa Barbara Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
