My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm just out of puppy-hood at one year old and ready to learn about the great big world! I'm a skinny 12.5 pound mini dachshund mix with floppy ears, warm brown eyes, and big galumphy paws. I'm sweet-natured and a little shy with new people, but if you let me come to you, I warm up quickly. Then I'm a happy, waggy puppy who loves attention and kisses and laps. I like walks and in spite of being a puppy I can settle down peacefully in my crate if you are busy. I am learning about housetraining, and my foster mom says I'm catching on really fast. I like other dogs. I'm curious about cats, and with some training I should be able to live with them. Children should be gentle ones, because I'm a gentle boy myself.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
