My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from Patch's current family:

We have a beautiful 6-year-old Lab/Newfie mix male dog we rescued when he was a puppy. He is mostly white with black patches, and weighs 70 pounds. We love this gentle dog. He has been an important part of our family, but we've decided (upon the advice of friends, family and our vet) that we must find Patch a new home. This is both for his sake and for ours. We recently moved into an RV park, and Patch is now confined to very little space. He also feels threatened by other dogs in the park at times. Even though he enjoys being outside during the day, he likes being inside in the evenings. As much as we grieve over this decision to rehome him, it is the only reasonable thing we can do for many reasons. He loves people! He is very loyal, and has an excellent disposition. Ideally, he needs to go to a person or family with either a large lot or acreage where he can run or roam outside some of the time. If you are looking for a remarkably loving, loyal pet, please contact us for further details. Please contact John at 830-388-6046, or e-mail: av8rsturgeon@yahoo.com
