Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Another Dane found in the Brownsville area and just like all the others we got from that area, she is in pretty bad shape. Not only that she skin and bones and covered with ticks, she also has a hole in her foot from a gun shot. Yes, this poor dog was bred all her life, starved, dumped and shot.
A lady found the dog, took her to her house and tied her to her pickup. She called the sheriff department, but they didn't do anything. She then called a local rescuer who immediately went to pick up the dog and took her to the vet. The rescuer contacted us and of course we agreed to take her. Transport arrangements were made and Judy was brought to our rescue in Austin.
Judy is now in a foster home and she is getting the care she needs. She started antibiotics to treat the infection in her foot. She got a bath, nail trim and a new winter coat to keep her warm.
Judy is estimated to be about 4-year-old. She has a very sweet personality. Loves people, good around kids and gets along with other dogs, as well as cats. She doesn't look great right now, but that is soon to change.
If you would like to give Judy a new home, where she will be loved and care for, please fill out the adoption application on our website.
