My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Color: Black & White
Weight: 45 lbs
Variety: Bench

Meet Sparky. His name fits him well, as he is full of love and life, and he is definitely full of energy!

Sparky loves his people, so much so that his foster family is teaching him not to give them hugs. He grew up living outdoors. Now he finally has his chance to live indoors as part of a family, and he’s not looking back! Sparky wags his tail constantly, and he likes to follow you around the house, just in case you might want to scratch behind his ears or give him a pet or two. He is a typical Velcro Springer who relishes any attention paid to him, and he is very loyal to his family.

Although Sparky lives with other canines, he would be best suited to a home with no resident dogs, as he likes to have his personal space. (Visiting dogs are fine.) Sparky also lived peaceably with cats in his former home, and he even let them sleep on his head at night when they wanted to. However, Sparky will hunt for rabbits, birds, and other pesky critters, so he will need a fenced yard to keep him safe.

Sparky is a great boy who continues to show progress each day as he patiently waits for his Forever Family. He would benefit from taking basic obedience courses with his new people. Sparky is eager to please and would very much like to be your loving and faithful Springer companion. So if you have a place in your home and your heart for this handsome boy, please contact his case managers at the e-mail address below.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Sparky.
