About Pulaski County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The Pulaski County Humane Society (PCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in rural southwest Virginia. We have been providing assistance to animals in need since 1979.

The Pulaski County Humane Society is housed within the Pulaski County Animal Shelter & Humane Education Center. We work together with Pulaski County Animal Control to help the animals of Pulaski County and educate the public about pet care.

The Pulaski Country Humane Society is actively working to reduce pet overpopulation in our area through education and spay/neuter programs. We also maintain a Spay/Neuter Clinic on-site.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets can be viewed at the shelter Monday-Friday 8-4 and Saturday 8-12. PCHS Office hours are M-F 12-4, and Sat 10-4

The Humane Society operates a cat condo in the facility where no adoptable cats will be euthanized. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and FIV/FeLV negative. PCHS also has foster dogs at the shelter and in private homes. These dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Please don't be afraid to drop by anytime during our shelter hours - we love visitors!

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in an animal from the Humane Society, you must fill out our adoption screening application and send it to pchsva@gmail.com. If you are chosen for adoption, the fee will be $85. This covers spay/neuter, vaccines, and any other medical care given to the pet during its stay at the shelter.
