My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yippie, I got adopted to someone who really, really wanted me!

Hi There,

My name is Sandy. I am a blond cocker girl mixed with a bit of terrier, about 8 or 9 years old. My owner turned me into a shelter because I was having some medical issues. They had adopted me over 5 years ago and then returned me this year, late October with Vestibular Syndrome. The staff sent me to their vet and they took X-rays, which showed possible kidney stones. The shelter asked for rescue help so that I could get medical attention and then find a forever home.

At the rescue vet, I was evaluated and checked over. Instead of kidney stones being the problem, I actually had 2 mammary masses and needed immediate surgery to keep me healthy. These nice folks raised the money, got me my surgery and I also had a much needed dental. Just before my surgery, I was taken for a ride in the rescue van when one of the other adoptable dogs was being shown to a potential adopter. The people liked the dog they were shown, but she was a bit to active for what they wanted. They saw me waiting in the van. This nice rescue lady suggested that they might like me, but told them that I needed to have surgery and why. They absolutely loved me and I was just what they were looking for.........so they have been waiting for me, and now that my surgery has been done and my recovery went well.........they came and adopted me! I am such
a happy girl. I am looking forward to being well taken care of ,very loved and a favorite companion.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet cocker girl, please send an email message to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all of the medical history for this dog while in our care.
