Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Prancer and her eight brothers and sisters arrived in Chicago during the first winter snowstorm, so we named them after Santa's reindeer! The pups were about 9 weeks old Dec. 2, and just weaned. Their mom, Elsie, a forty-five pound very sweet shepherd mix, is also available for adoption. Prancer's dad is unknown, so only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of her ultimate appearance and size should apply!
Prancer is an independent and outgoing little girl, the life of the party. She gets along well with other dogs, and would love a doggy playmate, but she is also fine on her own. She is almost house trained-- after being in a foster home with a doggy door she knows to go outside! Because she is so young, she will need someone home during the day to keep her on a potty schedule and keep her stimulated, since she is also very smart. Prancer will be ready for puppy school soon, another adoption requirement.
You can meet Prancer at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette, during normal business hours (847-251-6750). Although she is so much fun you will want to take her home on the spot to make your holidays complete, please note you will have to submit an application for adoption, and that we can't guarantee she will still be available.
Prancer’s adoption fee is $375, which includes a vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, and spay.
