Meet Prancer! Prancer is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about his personality. We do know that he is an absolute goof when it comes to, well, everything! He enjoys going for walks, playing with other dogs and make new friends! He was transferred from another shelter after being found as a stray. Now, he's looking for a home that will show him the ropes of becoming a great family member! While he has had doggie friends in the past, we are not yet sure how he is with cats or kids. Won't you ask to spend some time with him today?

As we get to know him, we will let you know Prancer is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

About Our Shelter...

Delaware Humane Association logo

Founded in 1957, Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal care and adoption center, serving a four state area. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless and owned dogs and cats in our community.

We rely on volunteers and donations to complete our mission and provide quality services to the community, including pet adoptions, affordable spay and neuter surgery, low cost vaccination / microchipping clinics, a pet food pantry, and more.

We make "friends for life" by connecting people with animals, and by building strong relationships to better serve our community.

We envision a day when every animal is loved, has a home, and has a "friend for life."

At DHA, we make "friends for life" by:

* Matching the right people with the right animals
* Offering a friendly, welcoming environment
* Empowering others to care for animals
* Being kind, caring and compassionate
