Prancer's Story...
Meet Prancer! Prancer is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about his personality. We do know that he is an absolute goof when it comes to, well, everything! He enjoys going for walks, playing with other dogs and make new friends! He was transferred from another shelter after being found as a stray. Now, he's looking for a home that will show him the ropes of becoming a great family member! While he has had doggie friends in the past, we are not yet sure how he is with cats or kids. Won't you ask to spend some time with him today?

As we get to know him, we will let you know Prancer is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prancer, a Wilmington Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Border Collie for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Border Collie breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
