Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MYRA is a little dilute tortie who is making the transition from barn cat to indoor kitty. She is still scared and a little dubious about trusting humans, but she is hiding less and has found her appetite again. She is only about eight months old, so she is really still a kitten. One can even pat her now, just a bit, although she skedaddles away to the backmost reaches of the cage (her “safe” area). Then her curiosity takes over, and she comes to the front again. This dance can continue for a while.
She is not really ready to be considered a lap cat yet, but she will probably get friendlier with time, lots of time. She seems to get along fine with the other cats in the room, so maybe a non-dominant feline companion would benefit her. If somebody has a nice, quiet, safe room for her, has infinite patience, love and understanding, and would like a socialization project which could be very rewarding, then come and visit Myra. She is waiting to meet you.
