Lima's Story...
Looking for companions to snuggle with you on the sofa while you watch tv or read?? If so, look no further! Lima bean and her brother, Mungo,, are AWESOME snugglers!! They have sweet, laid back dispositions. Ideally they would like to be adopted together as they love each other very much; however, should a wonderful family come along who can only offer a loving forever home for one, the other would continue to wait patiently for his/her chance. (Sadly, they've already been waiting over four months to be adopted despite the fact that they get lots of attention at adoption events. Their calm, sweet personalities and the way they snuggle together gets much attention.)

Mungo and Lima bean were rescued on Friday, November 13 from a very rural county animal shelter. They had been trying to survive on their own and had little to no friendly human contact. They were terrified, filthy, covered in fleas, and had bellies bloated with worms. In the foster home they are around other dogs and children - they get along with all and are doing well with house manners.

They are current on shots, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered/spayed. Mungo and Lima bean are looking for a family to give them the love they missed the first four months of life, and I know they will return that love tenfold.

We do not know what mix of breeds they are. They appear to have some American bulldog or American Staffordshire similarities in appearance.

If you're interested in giving one or both of these precious babies a loving furever home, please complete an application at www.cofas.org. Any questions you may have should be emailed to fostermomjudy@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lima, a Greensboro American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
