I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Penelope's Story...
Penelope is a petite, 6 year-old spayed female. Penelope is extremely friendly and likes nothing more than lounging on the couch with her human, and jumps up on her hind legs for pets when she sees you.

Unfortunately, Penelope’s teeth were in very bad shape when she came to the rescue; she only had 3 teeth left, and those had to be removed due to infection, but she gets along without them just fine!

She is a good eater, but needs to be fed in small increments as she eats so fast, she sometimes throws up afterward. It’s a small amount of extra care, but Penelope’s sweet personality is definitely worth it.

She has a friend from her former household named Molly, with whom she loves to cuddle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Los Angeles Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
