Dobby's Story...
Dobby was spotted sitting patiently on a porch, looking at a door that never opened for him. When inquiries were made, it was determined that Dobby just showed up one day and no one had welcomed him into their home. All we can say is that Dobby is our gain and their loss. The instant we picked him up, Dobby started purring with every fiber of his skinny little body. Now, after receiving lots of food and love, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy and gorgeous kitten. Probably due to his time on the street, Dobby can be a little timid initially in new surroundings. However, he loves to explore, loves to meet other cats and will quickly warm up to new people. He just needs a little time to figure out what is going on. Dobby is an all-around great kitten who will bring fun, warmth and affection into your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dobby, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
