All About Me:    Marley is a dark red 1 year old toy pooodle. She weighs about 8 lbs. She came into Healing Hearts Small Animal Rescue from a breeder that no longer wanted her. She was full of matts and smelled of urine and feces. Please note she is from a breeder so her new owner must be willing to work with her on housetraining. Poodles require regular grooming to keep their coat in top shape. We will post updated pictures this afternoon after their grooming.

Marley is very energetic! She needs a home that understands her hyperness and is willing to work with her on long walks and exercise to help her keep calm. She is only 8 months old, so some of her energy is still just being a puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Old Fort Toy Poodle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Toy Poodle for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Toy Poodle puppy from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Toy Poodle breeders who help with Toy Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
