My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 y/o male Shiba, needs calm but active home, $350 adoption fee

Milo came to rescue from a puppy mill, so he is nervous and skittish at first, but once you've gained his trust he loves belly rubs and lots of petting! Everything is new to him, so he is a very curious and inquisitive boy. He likes to meet new people and dogs who calmly and quietly approach. Milo has done well meeting children over the age of 8, but has not been assessed with younger kiddos.

Like most Shibas, he is independent, but would benefit from another well-socialized dog in the home to show him the ropes and help him gain confidence. He gets along great with his foster brother and sisters and loves to play with them. He is also good at keeping himself entertained with tennis balls, stuffed animals, and other toys when other dogs don't want to play. Milo is fine with cats.

Milo is potty training, crate trained and walks well on leash. He is a very energetic dog and will need to be in an active home that will give him the exercise he needs. He loves to play and chase squirrels so would love a home with a securely fenced yard to romp around in addition to daily walks. He does not like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so Milo's forever home should be one that can provide a calm and quiet environment. Milo needs adopters who and have the patience to allow him to adapt to his environment and develop trust at his own pace. They will also need to be willing to work on basic training.

Milo's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, de-worming, heartworm test, microchip, and approved professional training course.
