Facts about Pearl

  • Breed: Boxer
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Pearl came to us from a shelter in North Carolina. She was found wandering in an apartment complex parking lot. She was very emaciated and had obviously given birth to a litter of puppies recently (no puppies were found). At just 2 years old, our vet estimates that she has given birth at least 3 times...she was probably bred every single heat cycle she has been through. She is deaf and was 15+ lbs underweight when found.

Thankfully, Pearl is a typical boxer! She bounced right back! She loves other dogs and is fantastic with children. She must go to a home with another dog. We tried placing her as an only dog and it wasn't a good fit. Because she is deaf, she looks to other dogs for direction and she loves having a playmate. She is friendly and outgoing with everyone she meets. She is crate trained (although she will bark sometimes) and is an absolutely expert in cuddling! Pearl does require a fenced yard. No exceptions.

Pearl is finally at her ideal weight of about 60 lbs. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested (and started on preventatives). Email adopt@rvaboxers.com for more information.
