Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To MEET Sadie - fill out an application. Cut and paste this link into your web browser: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/adoption/application-to-adopt-a-companion/
Apply to FOSTER: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/how-you-can-help/foster/
Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Weight: 42 lbs. needs to lose 5 lbs. This should come off fairly easily since she is now able to move around and exercise and is on good quality food.
Age: 2 years
Personality: Extremely sweet. Sensitive. Active but calm for a sporting dog.
Coat: Very soft, medium length, will shed, but now that she's on good quality food, this will get much better. Should be brushed and bathed occasionally.
Training: Walks on a leash well. Knows sit. Needs more gentle socialization with small dogs, which scare her, especially if a lot of them come up on her at once.
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Excellent health. Had very poor nutrition so her teeth have been affected. Needs dental cleaning, which we are doing Dec 18th. Good heart sounds, nothing abnormal on vet exam. Heart worm negative, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations.
History: Sadie was rescued from a very high kill shelter in S. Korea. Medium and large dogs have a very difficult time finding a home there, so Sadie was sent to California with a volunteer flying into the states. Sadie had been living outside in a boarding facility, so this is her first time living in a home. She was a little overwhelmed at first, but is settling in nicely.
Fostered in: La Habra
Type of home: Sporting Dog breeds need regular walking. Sadie needs more socialization with dogs and would benefit from positive method training classes. She is a sensitive breed of dog and needs to live inside. Sadie wants to be a member of your family.
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes, needs to be introduced slowly to new dogs, once she realizes they aren't a threat she is very good with other dogs.
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $500
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:

Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
