Chia's Story...
update 7-25-08 -- WHY do I still have Chia??? She is a sweet low maintenance dog. She never asks for attention, but is glad to receive attention. She likes running thru the yard (those little legs can cover some ground). She comes when called. She plays with all other size dogs. Chia weighs 5 lbs.

Chia was brought to me in May 08. Underweight, scared and covered in ticks. She is now ready to be adopted. Healthy active and rambunctious. She likes to nap on the back of the sofa or under a pillow on the bed. For bedtime, she crawls under the covers. She does have the little dog attitude - thinks she 80 lbs and bulletproof. She "plays" with the horses and larger dogs. Her best playmate is Dancer. She is housetrained, except for the one healthy poop pile that she leaves me every night. sweet, loving and active, not a lap dog, but she can learn.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chia, a Trenton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
