Jax's Story...
Hi my name is Jax, and every one tells me how cute I am, wouldn't you agree? I'm three years old and I used to live chained out side, but now I'm really enjoying living the life of an inside dog, as all dogs deserve. I am very calm and like to chill, but also like to play. I would do best with either a lady dog friend or I can be just as happy with all the attention for myself. I would also prefer a home with kids 12 and older, the little ones fast movements make me a tad nervous. I'm completely house broken, but I do enjoy my crate occasionally as my own little comfort zone. My foster mom says I am a very good boy, I come when called, I sit and wait to be fed and I love car rides. I would love a new home with a fully fenced in yard. Did I mention I love belly rubs? I spend about half my time flopped over on my side waiting for someone to rub my tummy. I know how to sit, give paw, and I'm an awesome cuddeler. My foster mom calls me "turbo butt" because when I get excited my whole butt shakes like crazy! As you can tell I am just about perfect! Can you find it in your heart to bring a sweet gentleman like me home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Sugar Grove Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Sugar Grove, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Sugar Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugar Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugar Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugar Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
