MORE INFO ABOUT ME:

Hey y'all!! My name is Miss RILEY, I'm about 3ish yrs old and weigh 42 lbs. Currently I am relaxing on the sofa in between my foster Mom and my doggie foster sister which is exactly where I can typically be found at the end of a day of play! I love playing with toys and have fun romping in the backyard with the other dogs here in my foster home. There are lots of great things I can tell you about myself,,,,I am really, really great with my potty habits but keep in mind that I will need to learn a new schedule, routine and where the "out" door is in my new home. I already sit and give you my paw as long as the payoff is a tasty treat! I love all people; guys, gals, and kids. I get along good with other dogs but we have recently discovered that if there is too much doggie commotion I have a tendency to get "overstimulated" and behave inappropriatly with some of the "crazier" dogs! Therefore, I would not do real well at say....a doggie park since there is tons of activity there. Don't get me wrong, I love me some doggie buddies just not lots and lots at one time. As a matter of fact, I love doggies (in small numbers) so much that the girls here are insisting that I go to a home with at least 1 other dog because I dont like being left all alone when you humans leave. Prior to coming into rescue, I had always lived with another dog and if I have another buddy(s) to hang with I am fine. Guess what else?? I dont' even have to be crated,,,,as a matter of fact I HATE to be crated!! I sleep either with my foster mom at night or in the livingroom on the sofa. Since I'm past that "chewing/destructive" age you don't have to worry about me destroying anything. So if you are looking for a 42lb lap dog who loves to cuddle, has great doggie manners, loves all humans and other dogs (in small numbers) then fill out that application so we can meet!! love, riley xoxoxo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RILEY**42 LB PLAYFUL GAL!!, a Mentor Labrador Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Mentor, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mentor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mentor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mentor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mentor paves the way for another one to be saved.
