Rives's Story...
Update 7-25-08 Rives' personality and temperment have really improved. He seldom shows food aggression anymore. He plays more and more. I let him out loose in the yard and he burns some energy and comes back. I have not seen him pay any attention to cats. He also stays in "general population" all the time now.

He is one of the 11 that I got on July 1. He stays in a pen by himself but is offered playtime with other dogs only when supervised. He has rolled most everything in the playyard. I have noticed that it only happens if there is food left over. **Food Aggressive*** stemming from the situation I got him from. I make sure that his bowl is never empty and love on him. He is improving. I have been told that he was a junkyard dog. grew up on a chain. If this is true, then I am pleased with his progress. He barks for attention. He wants to be so loving. very long legged. **** will only be adopted out to someone that will take him to a behavioralist. May be about a year old. Adoption fee $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rives, a Trenton Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
