Bella's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Bella's Story...
Miss Bella is a purebred, 9-10 month old German Shepherd. She is fantastic with kids (even very young) and is submissive with other dogs and appears to be house trained. Bella has had a pretty tough life up until now. She had an accident when she was very young that left her with three legs. If that wasn't bad enough, she was left out in the backyard with her two other dog friends and didn't get the exercise she needed to build up muscle to learn to get around. If you are familiar with wonderful tripods, you know that once they are rehabilitated to three legs you can barely tell. They run, jump, go up/down stairs just like a four legged dog. Bella can certainly get around, but it is a struggle to go long distances. We are working with her slowly but surely and it breaks our heart because she is so loving and gentle. Her injury will not require further care, but because it was not a full amputation this makes her a good candidate for a prosthetic if her new owners would like to try it. Bella is spayed, vaccinated, chipped and current on heartworm. She just needs a family for Christmas that will teach her to believe that you can't keep a three legged dog down! One by One Pet Rescue is a Flower Mound based 501c3 rescue. We are looking for a house with a yard, where she will be an inside dog and where she won't be left alone all day during the work week.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Flower Mound German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Flower Mound, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Flower Mound.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flower Mound already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flower Mound breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flower Mound paves the way for another one to be saved.
