Jake's Story...
Jake is an incredibly handsome approx. 16 year old lab mix. We rescued him from living most of his life outside on a chain. Jake is the sweetest dog and is so happy to be safe and now loved. He is an older distinguished gentlemen and would love to live out his golden years in a great forever home. This guy deserves to know what its like to have a family to love and care for him. He is dog/kid friendly. His foster mom reports that he is an amazing dog, very chill but still likes to play around. He is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Please email enb313@gmail.com if you can give this special boy is long over due chance at a forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Philadelphia Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
