My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sophia, and I am a Brown Classic Tabby with beautiful bulls-eye markings. I lost my home when my elderly owner had to go into a nursing home. (So did Stella, also up for adoption.) I'm 3 years old and have fur as soft as a chinchilla. I am a very friendly and affectionate kitty. I'm a lap warmer, a good mouser, love to play, and even enjoy being held. My markings are very striking, and I have a long striped tail. I have boldly walked up to cat-friendly dogs to sniff noses. (We think Sophia would likely do well with a dog if he/she is polite to her.) I require a soft bed to lay in and a warm heart to love. I currently live with others cats and dogs. I'm packed and ready to come to your home.
If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $50. Please note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. cWe understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. No guarantees are implied.
Cats are NOT to be de-clawed, and must remain indoor pets only.
Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your companion; cats could live 20 years or more!!
