Jack's Story...
This dog's fosterhome is located in:
****Fresno, California****

Jack has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

Check out Jack! He is 1 year old, and weighs about 9 pounds soaking wet. He was turned into a kill shelter (and was just one day away from euthanasia) because the family was moving from a house into an apartment that didn't allow dogs. So Jack came into ResQ just in time. Jack is a very good boy -- he loves to play with his toys and sometimes his foster mom's slippers. So his foster family makes sure he has appropriate chew toys. That's all part of having a young terrier in the house. Jack likes having other dogs around to play with. Jack likes children and all people, for that matter. He is crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash and is ready to go to his forever home. For more pictures of Jack, please click here. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Festus Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Festus, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Festus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Festus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Festus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Festus paves the way for another one to be saved.
