MacGyver's Story...
This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Egg Harbor City, New Jersey****

MacGyver has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

Given a leash, a bowl, and maybe a rubber band and a paperclip, we all know MacGyver could make a daring attempt at finding his own home, but ResQ has stepped in to help him a bit. This boy is darling: fun, playful, friendly, loving. He's got a heart of gold and is looking for love to last a lifetime. MacGyver, who is about 1 to 2 years old, was abandoned at a Texas shelter, but it's our gain because he's been a joy to know. He is a skinny 16 pounds, and will probably end up at 18 pounds once he's at his ideal weight. He is very playful with other dogs (stranger dogs and his 'siblings') and is good with people of all ages. MacGyver lives with cats currently and does okay with them -- he's very interested in them. He can be a little timid at first and is currently working on crate training and house training, as well as working on outgrowing puppyhood, and we'd expect his new family to work with him to finish his training. Rat Terrier ResQ expects a lot of interest in MacGyver, the wonder dog, so get your applications in quickly! Make sure you see more pictures of this heartbreaker!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MacGyver, a of Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in of, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in of.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in of already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a of breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in of paves the way for another one to be saved.
