Lucy has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

Look at this beautiful 2 year old chocolate tricolored Rat Terrier! Mama Lucy and the Peanuts Gang are now luckily safe and warm in a foster home. Lucy currently weighs 12.5 lbs and she's a sweetheart that strives to please. Lucy gets along well with all the other dogs in her foster home, but she does like to horde the tasty bones. She has ignored the cats seen when walking and gets along well with neighbor kids who are 6 to 8 years old. She likes to play with fleece balls and stuffed animals. She's smart and occasionally sneaky. She's adapting well to city life and isn't so skittish of the odd noises she hears on walks. She is house trained and she will patiently sit by the door when she needs to go out but she will not bark to let you know. Make sure you see more pictures of Lucy and her Peanuts Gang!

This gang will all be ready for new homes soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Memphis Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
