My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(ID #A25236899) Hi, my name is Jacky.

I am a two year old Lab mix. I first came to the shelter as a stray. A kind soul found me roaming the streets and brought me to the shelter for my safety. I was adopted but then returned.

Here are the notes concerning his return - Woman returning Jacky because he had become possessive of the mother and growls at the children. He has not bitten anyone. He is food aggressive. They didn't want their kids to get hurt because every time they got close her would growl. He should go to an ADULT ONLY HOME. Otherwise a great dog. Didn't run off. Good with kids when good and toys. Protective of the mother. Snapped at woman's mother when she touched owners leg. She bonded with the dog at this point. Jacky gets along great with everyone now except WHEN FOOD IS INVOLVED.

At least here at the shelter I have my basic needs met, like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love. I have plenty of love to give. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me?? Come and have a meet-n-greet with me.

I am a young fellow at heart. I have been checked out by a veterinarian and neutered. I received a set of preventative shots and have been wormed. I have tested negative for heartworms. I have also been microchipped.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. That means they are providing you with a getting started Goodie Bag when you adopt me. The bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, CD with helpful articles, booklet with training information, toy, and treats. You will receive a Rebate Certificate that can be used towards payment of a training course with the trainer of your choice. Sheltered Paws will rebate back to you a dollar value up to but not to exceed $100.00.

You can contact my friend, Kathie by emailing dog_picture@yahoo.com for more information on how I can become part of your family.

See you soon, JACKY
