This boy is gorgeous, His name is ASA a handsome Purebred Weimaraner. Asa weighs in at 75lb he is 21/2 yrs old, he has a wonderful temperament and beautiful features. Asa is blessed with stunning good looks,gorgeous white teeth,he is a a lover, Asa needs a Weimaraner owner that understands our breed and needs. Asa needs a family that will love him unconditionally. Asa has a birth defect commonly known as Hoppers. Hoppers is when he runs both back legs move together, This does not get any worse and cannot be reversed, This does not stop this boy at all he can run like the wind. ASA`S story starts here ))) We rescued Asa from a Georgia Kill shelter he was surrendered by his owner a young girl who had 3 young children and couldn't cope, She got Asa from an AKC breeder who was giving him away because of his birth defect Asa has his AKC Papers. We took Asa for tests and radio graphs brought him up to date on his shots and had him neutered. Asa is a loving boy quite submissive and all he wants is a person that will love him, he loves to be around humans, Asa did well at his Georgia foster home.He plays well with others, He is now in Florida and we are looking for a family that understands our Weimaraner breed, He needs someone that is going to spend time with him and really make him part of a family. Asa responds to cuddles and love and needs security stability and a routine and most of all he needs Love. Asa is a good boy a joy to be around. He is playful and energetic however we do try to limit his activities he will run and play hard we have found he is much better with a smaller yard where he cant get up speed to run this boy is fast, The smaller yard just limits his activities if we take him to our acreage which he loves we will give him a Rimadyl. However Asa is just as happy snuggling and being around you Like most Weimaraners he is smart and he will have food off your counter in a flash if he is not watched. We feed him with a slow feeder bowl and make him sit and wait he dances and gets excited at feed time. ASA is so lovable he deserves a family that will give him the love and attention he deserves. he will warm to you and just melt your heart. he knows commands sit & down, Like most Weimaraners he likes car rides We do not crate any of our weimaraners and we are looking for a family that will not crate him At night time he loves to sleep on your bed and snuggle and have belly rubs he loves to be close to his humans. If you dont like a dog on your furniture Asa is not for you he likes home comforts, Asa is housebroken. He will come when called. its so hard not to fall in love with this boy And its very difficult to find anything negative to say about him he is just a lover someone that is home most of the time would be perfect for Asa, He is Neutered, current on all vaccinations he is micro.chipped heart worm negative and up to date on monthly prevention. he is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to relax in the home. We are looking to find Asa a wonderful forever home where he can have stability. Structure security and a little discipline in his life. We are looking for a forever home that can cherish him and give him the love and attention he needs, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever we don't ever want to see this boy back in rescue. A family that will include him in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect Asa will shine with the right interaction. Someone that is at home most of the day would be perfect for Asa like most Weims they dont like to be apart from you for hours on end. A home with a FENCED in yard sun room or lanai is Essential Another dog would work for him to play with a female would be perfect. Asa would also be good as an only dog as long as there is a lot of interaction he is good with children but we are looking for a home without any young children an older family is required someone that has the time to devote to him. Asa can be clumsy and boisterous nothing to do with his condition he is a typical Weimy boy, We are definitely looking for a Weimaraner owner The weimaraner breed is not for everyone they are unique and need a lot of understanding, he loves to snuggle and would be happy relaxing on the sofa with you, he will follow you everywhere If you think that you have what it takes for this exceptional boy and can open your your heart and home, to make Asa`s life complete you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
