Ortho is one of several Shih Tzu- Yorkie mixes that were recently rescued from a hoarding situation. Ortho is approx 12 yrs old and weighs in at 11 lbs. He is a remarkably, well-adjusted, happy go lucky little dog with a sunny disposition, that seems to love everyone he comes in contact with (adults and children). We were also pleasantly surprised to find that he is house trained and can use a doggie door. He would benefit from some leash training.
Ortho gets along great with our other dogs, and so far, has shown only mild curiosity when introduced to our cats. He is a playful guy and in some ways, very puppy like in his manners. At the dog park, he takes on the role of the “official greeter” to all who enter. Ortho tends to bond quickly and we feel he will adjust with ease to the member(s) of his forever home. Ortho is currently being treated for an ear infection and will be available for adoption once the infection is gone. He will be at the Petsmart located at 2141 North Rainbow at Lake Mead for adoption on Sat and Sunday.
