Hiya! My name is Miguel, and I'm the new adoptable snuggler at NBS Animal Rescue. I'm a 5 year old chihuahua, that loves to burrow and makes nests out of blankets. What are a few of your favorite things? My favorite things in life are fuzzy blankets, fresh laundry, warm towels after a bath, and people who like to hold me in their laps. I love to give kisses, and I don't mind kids, cats or other very mellow dogs. (Kids should be 12years+, I tend to get defensive with lots of sudden movements/running around with little kids & big dogs...better yet, I'd like to be "the kid"!). Also, I should mention that I am now acing my potty training course, am crate trained, and have a pretty darn cute butt wiggle when someone I know comes in the door. Sometimes I can't control my wiggles, and I end up dancing in circles. What can you do? Sometimes you just have to have a fit of joy; and dance and bark about your happiness, right? I also enjoy going for walks, watching movies, and did I mention cuddling enough? It is getting cold out, and I'm a top notch foot warmer when it's time to go to bed.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out an online adoption application and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pets veterinary history.
3.) Call your references and let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number as they will be speaking with a member of our team as a personal references.
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
