Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Woodrow is currently being fostered in Houston. He is available for out-of-state adoption to the perfect family. Woodrow's adoption fee is $500, which covers his transport home**
We actually stumbled across Woodrow as we were leaving the airport from sending another dog off to her forever life. He had apparently been living around the airport, next to a busy road for a few weeks, yet nobody stopped to see if he would like to leave with them. We spent a couple of hours getting him to trust us and he finally gave in and let us whisk him out of there!
Woodrow is approximately one year old and he is a pretty big boy. He is around 65 pounds right now and could stand to gain about 8-10 more pounds to get to full weight after being on the streets. Woodrow is so very well behaved, he can sit, shake (he loves to shake) and lay down. We are working on stay, but it's a little hard because he wants to be next to you all the time.
Woodrow is a mid-high active dog who would do great in a family that can give him plenty of exercise and who wants to make him their very best friend. He still has a lot of puppy in him and he is learning to play easy. He would be better suited for a family with older kids and he doesn't always know his size and may accidentally knock a smaller child down. We are working on fetch, right now, we have chase down, but the fetch part is a work in progress. Woodrow would make a great running, hiking, traveling buddy.
Woodrow is kennel/house trained, healthy, and fully vetted (full shots, neutered, and microchipped). He is ready to head back to the airport to hop a plane to his own forever family.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application on our website www.reggiesfriends.org If you hover over the adoptables tab, the link to the application will appear. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org
