Lexi's Story...
If you are looking for a playful and friendly forever friend, then Lexi is the gal for you! This beautiful sweetie was found as a stray by a police officer. When the officer realized what a gem she was, he knew that he had to help Lexi find a forever home so she would not be a stray ever again! Of course, we stepped up to help and now Lexi has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated. The police officer has been fostering Lexi, but now she is ready to find her forever home. Lexi is fostered with other dogs and does great with them. She is crate and house trained. She is a light charcoal color with sparkling eyes - a true beauty! Lexi enjoys laying under a car when she is helping foster dad in the garage. She is a large dog and will need lots of space to run and play. She will do best in an active home who does not mind a higher energy gal. If you have the space and resources Lexi will need for the rest of her life, please go to ITVRescue.org and complete an online adoption application. Lexi will be waiting to meet you and requests you stock up on bones and chew toys since they are her favorite!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi, a Evansville Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
