Frannie's Story...
"Are you looking for a happy, affectionate, intelligent dog who will be your loyal friend and companion? Please look my way! My name is FRANNIE, and I'm a pretty and playful two-year-old Cattle Dog mix who loves people. I'm hoping to find a person or family who'd take me on daily walks and spend time with me. I'd want to have a good-sized yard at my new home so I could play fetch and do some exploring. I'd do best in either an adult home or in a family where the kids are older. I know how to sit on command, and I've already been house trained. A smart dog like me could learn just about anything you'd like to teach me. While I love people, I'm not fond of having other dogs around, so I'd need to be the only dog in my new home. I hope you'll come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can get better acquainted out in the nice play yard that they have here. You'll see that I have a loving nature, then maybe you can take me home and be my forever friend. Love, Frannie"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frannie, a El Cajon Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
