Meeko's Story...
Meeko is a Siamese/possibly Snowshoe mix who absolutely loves cuddling. He’s a talkative boy who wants to show you that he is full of energy and love. Not only does he love playing with cat toys, but he will take it upon himself to play with dog toys as well! He’s good with new people and likes to sleep as close as possible to his human at night. His playing never gets too rough, as he knows that scratches are no fun and he keeps his claws to himself. Jumping to high surfaces is easy for Meeko the acrobatic cat, and he gets along with the older dog he is currently living with. Meeko has had some urinary issues in the past but with the right food, he should be healthy and ready to play away the day for years to come. Quite an intelligent boy, Meeko is an awesome cat who would be perfect for any home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meeko, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
