Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Benny is one of our newest Heigl Hounds. He was brought in as a stray to the Carson Los Angeles County animal shelter on September 16, 2015. We picked him upon November 19th. Benny was temperament tested at the shelter and while he’s not perfect (he destroys bedding), he is learning to walk nicely on a leash. Our volunteers and staff have been working with him and he is learning that it’s safe to explore and trust people. He has shown zero prey drive, ignoring cats and squirrels on his walks. He is an introspective dog, taking his time to absorb his surroundings and check everything out. Benny is estimated to be two years old and is a big guy— 70 pounds but he’s a gentle giant. He’s neutered, up to date on all of his shots and ready to go to a home.
