CallieAnnCP's Story...

Callie Ann is looking for a new home that is a bit closer to home. Her parents are moving to Maine and Callie is not a fan of traveling. Her parents are hoping to find a home for her so she doesn’t have to make the trip.

Callie is about 8 years old. She is spayed and declawed and will receive vaccine updates this month. She has beautiful calico markings. Callie gets along with other cats. She is friendly and likes to play – although she shouldn’t have toy mice because she gets too excited and chews their tails off!

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Callie, please contact Tori at 717-432-0502 or

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CallieAnnCP, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
