Bear's Story...
We have the perfect playful puppy who needs a new best friend. Bear wants nothing more than to find his forever home. This Shepherd Mix male is ready to start the new year giving puppy kisses to his pack leader. Bear is only 8 mos old as of December 2015 and has a lifetime ahead to be a great companion. His previous owners couldn't care for him at no fault of his own. When we saw this handsome brindled lad and realized how much loving he has to share, we immediately stepped in and agreed to find him a new home. Bear currently shares a kennel here at the center and is friendly with the other rescue dogs. He works hard keeping his area clean and loves playtime in the backyard. Bear will be a large dog when he is full grown, so he will need space to grow and run. He does well on a leash and enjoys exploring the outside when he goes on walks. Bear is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. This sweet puppy will grow into a handsome guy and will do anything to please his adopters. Bear will love you for the rest of your life if you are ready to commit to forever with him. If you've been searching for a cutie like Bear, please submit an online adoption application at ITVRescue.org. He's ready to walk out the door with you. This cutie is a favorite amongst our staff and visitors, so don't miss out on Bear!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Evansville Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
