ULLRAH's Story...
COPURTESY POST:
ULLRAH. Ullrah (Ool – ra) is the little brother with a big heart. He weighs 50 pounds, and will also be three in January. Unlike his sisters, he has a rather thick coat and enjoys colder temperatures. A beautiful Chestnut red with a white face, collar, socks and tip, and golden eyes.
Ullrah loves to meet new people, quickly making friends with all. He loves to talk. Not just bark, but talk. He has no problem with discussing whether or not it is dinner time, and gets a kick out of cooing at night.
Unfortunately Ullrah does have some difficulty with small dogs. The Bull terrier trait in him is strongly expressed. He simply does not like little dogs, but does like his cat that he grew up with. So maybe there is some hope there. He is fine with dogs his own size, and will quickly accept a submissive role as required.
Ullrah has been neutered and has an ID ear tattoo.

I have found myself to be in a position that it is not possible to keep these three sibling dogs and must find new homes for them in very short order. I may be
moving from my current residence by year’s end and will not be able to take them with me. A worst-case scenario of having to take them to animal services is possible, which would be crushing to the dogs and myself. Hopefully with some good fortune and good connections we can spare the dogs of going through this trauma and potentially unfortunate end.

These three dogs are a thin coated, short and heavy haired , not well suited to long periods of time in the cold, but like most dogs, very interested in spending time outdoors. They are all moderately well trained (with the terrible two’s almost over), and they are still very eager to keep on learning.

I will be available to meet with prospective new family members at either my home in Bankview (SW Calgary near 14 st and 17 ave) or elsewhere as convenient. Interested people can email me at dalekastelen@yahoo.com to ask any questions or set up a time and place to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ULLRAH, a Calgary Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
