Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Luke came to us as a surrender when his owner couldnt afford his medical bills. Luke had badly broken his leg and needed immediate surgery. Despite the efforts of our vets, the leg was too damaged and he required his 'bad' leg to be amputated. He is currently in foster care while he recovers and is doing well. He's adapted quickly to his new tripod status, and runs around at a pretty good pace. We are trying to limit his activity right now to help slowly build up strength in the rest of his legs.
We were told he is approx. 1.5 years old, and is a collie mix, though in person he looks like a giant Jack Russell (he's ~35lbs). He's smart as a whip, and will likely need a home that can keep up with him once he's fully healed. He's been selective of his doggie friends so far, though he's recovering from major surgery so official testing with other animals wont happen until he's fully recovered. So far he is housetrained and we are working on crate training. We are looking for an adoptive home for Luke, though he likely wont be able to leave his foster home until early 2016.
