My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

**adoption pending**Leroy is a 22 lb Mini Xolo fostered in Milwaukee, WI. He is about a year and a half old as of May 2015. Leroy is a very active and rambunctious little guy that will never leave you bored or lonely! This guy’s two favorite things to do are cuddling and playing. As an affectionately dubbed “velcro dog”, Leroy’s loyalty shines through every minute. Wherever you are, he wants to be there too! He loves walks and does great on a leash, and when at home, prefers to sit with you all day. While he’d rather be with you 24/7, he is being crate trained and is doing great. He’s also having his potty training solidified, but this guy is very smart and he’ll have it down in no time. Leroy loves to play with balls, fabric toys, and chewing bones. He usually is great about sharing them with his foster brothers and sister, whom he loves dearly. Leroy does fantastic with dogs he knows, but is a little nervous with large dogs at first. After they get acquainted, Leroy prefers the company of a larger dog because he likes to wrestle. This big baby is curious about, yet afraid of cats, but can live harmoniously with a confident feline.

Leroy is still working on his confidence. He becomes very attached because he depends on others around him to feel stable. This should change with time and basic obedience training. He is also working on manners such as jumping up on people, allowing people and other animals some personal space, and being a little mouthy during play. For this reason, at this time we would recommend Leroy not go to a home with young children or senior animals.
