RIKER's Story...
MEET RIKER!

Truly handsome and very sweet and loving, this beautiful boy has charmed his foster mom. He is wonderful in the home, loves his humans and is always ready for a cuddle. He is also very smart, learning obedience quickly.

Riker is an amazing dog that will absolutely blossom in the right home. He will thrive with a guardian who knows, respects and understands the breed.
He would do best in a quiet home, adults only. No small breeds or cats.
He's young and loves to go for walks, hikes, etc. He was with other dogs before his foster home so we feel he'll be fine with intros. He is housetrained and crate trained. Good on the leash.

Riker is about a year old and a half and weighs about 60 lbs. He is utd and neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RIKER, a New Haven Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in New Haven, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in New Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
