Royal's Story...
Front and Royal are two loving little bonded brothers who must be adopted together. These brothers are total cuddle cats, they love to sleep next to people on the bed all snuggled up with their human and each other. They also really like being held and laying in someone’s arms. These outgoing and affectionate little guys are never far apart from one another, running, playing, and snuggling. Both boys have been around other cats and they get along well with them. They think everyone is there to be their new best friend.

Front is the orange tabby and Royal is the buff boy. They were found when their rescuer went to help feed a friend’s feral colony, located in Front Royal of course. When he came back to his truck Royal was laying on his passenger seat purring away. He decided to take him home to help Royal find a home. As he started driving, out popped Front from under the seat who meowed hello and jumped up to join his brother for a some cuddles and a nap on the ride to their new foster home.

Front and Royal were born in September 2015. They have been neutered, micro chipped, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. They’re up to date on all shots for their age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Royal, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
