My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rennie was dumped in a southern calif shelter in October 2015 and while there nearly two months he did not do well. He became depressed and very sad and shut down.He stopped eating and drinking and lost ALOT of weight. He has been seen by two different vets and has no known medical reasons for his weight loss other than depression and stress.Rennie was rescued and brought north for rehabilitation and will be in training in early 2016 with a well known professional training facility in Sacramento. Rennie is sweet, but we suspect he has never had a good life prior to being at the shelter. He has an old injury on his tail and part of his tail actually fell off while he was at the shelter. He has hard elbow calluses from living on hard surfaces. We sure do love Rennie and wish for him only the best and most suitable home. Rennie has dog selective aggression and will need a strong leader and a home with only maybe one other dog or no other dogs and probably no cats just in case. Rennie weighs currently about 55 lbs and is still thin but gaining weight back. He is not an overly large framed or tall dog but can easily pack on another 10 lbs. When he got here he only weighed 39 lbs and had a body score of 2.5 on a scale of 9 for health and weight for dogs. :(
