My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly fairy. "One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."- Hans Christian Anderson
And we couldn't agree more! Especially the little 'Flower' part. We just happen to come across a beautiful little 4 month old black and tan Shepherd mix pup named Flower sitting in a high kill southern shelter wondering what the heck she was doing there. She weighs 19 lbs and our best guess is she will be somewhere in the vicinity of 50 lbs when full grown. Flower is a tribute to surviving and overcoming the odds. She was fortunate to have been pulled into rescue thereby beating the odds of being euthanized. Unfortunately she was exposed to parvo at some point and nearly didn't make it. She not only made it through but bounced back with a vengeance. She is now a completely healthy vibrant loving and playful pup with a zest for life. Flower is one of those little tykes who wins the heart of all she meets. She is an energetic bundle of joy always eliciting laughter with her entertaining puppy antics. Flower is crate trained, doing wonderful with her house training, and is doing an excellent job with her leash training. She spends her free time running around gathering all of the toys she can find, putting them in a pile, then will lay on top of them while gnawing on a good chew bone. Flower is very good with other dogs, cats and children. Her loving ways are evident after a day of play when she settles in for some cherished cuddle time with her people. Flower is an intelligent young girl who is eager to learn and please. She quickly mastered sitting for treats and foster mom says she will happily learn as much as any one is willing to take the time and effort to teach her. Because she has plenty of puppy energy to share we think she will do best in an active home with a family willing to give her plenty of challenges and exercise so couch potatoes may want to move on. Flower is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. She has already come a long way simply by way of being alive. But now she's ready to truly live her life with her loving forever family. Living is obviously a wonderful thing but just imagine how much better life would be if you add freedom, sunshine.....and a little Flower
