My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is ADDISON. Here we have a 22 month old red smooth small standard dachshund. He is a handsome 18.5 pounds – muscular and dapper. Addison is leash trained, but also loves the backyard. He is calm and laid back at home, and goes to the front door when he needs to go potty. Some of his favorite things? Heater vents (doesn’t that feel good?) and watching movies. He is trained to sleep in his own crate at night, but really prefers to sleep with his human (as do almost all doxies!).

This is a very well cared for and well adjusted dachshund. He’s all up to date on the medicals (rabies, bordetella, DHPP, Advantage, neutered) and has a recent grooming and pedicure. He comes with a new leash and collar set, new toys and favorite blankie, dog food and a free exam card for your next appointment for Addison with our Doxie vet at Best Friends Veterinary Medical Center.


Perhaps if you are not quite ready or able to adopt, you might be willing to help our rescues pass their time in rescue by donating toys and long lasting chew bones. We are also in desperate need of clothes washing soap, disinfectant and Lysol spray. PLEASE HELP. Any assistance would be appreciated!
